Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about Weather Fit

What is Weather Fit?

Weather Fit is a weather app that helps you choose the right outfit based on the current forecast. It’s available for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac.

Is Weather Fit free?

Yes! The app is free to download and use. Optional premium features are available via subscription, and you can try them out with a 7-day free trial.

What features does Premium include?

Premium unlocks all widgets, outfit and landscape customization, more data sources, radar and maps, and an ad-free experience.

Why do I have to pay for a Premium subscription?

Weather data is expensive — especially when it comes from multiple sources and needs to update regularly throughout the day. Widgets and Apple Watch complications require frequent background refreshes, which increases those costs even more. Weather Fit is made by a solo developer, not backed by a big company. That means there’s no outside funding to cover ongoing costs. While the free version includes ads to help support development, a Premium subscription helps keep the app running, improving, and unlocks an ad-free experience.

Does Weather Fit support Family Sharing?

Yes! There's a separate Family Plan available that lets you share your Premium subscription with up to 5 family members through Apple’s Family Sharing. Everyone gets full access to Premium features.

Does one subscription work across all devices?

Yes — if you're using the same Apple ID, your subscription will work on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Tap “Restore Subscription” if it doesn’t appear automatically.

Where can I download Weather Fit?

You can download Weather Fit from the App Store.

Is it available in my language?

The app supports 14 languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

Where does the weather data come from?

The app uses Apple Weather by default. Premium users can switch to AccuWeather or Xweather.

Can I adjust how the app selects clothing for me?

Yes! Weather Fit includes a comfort slider that lets you fine-tune how warmly or lightly the character dresses. If you're more sensitive to cold or always run hot, just adjust the slider to reflect your preferences — and the app will tailor its outfit suggestions accordingly.

Can I customize my character?

Yes! You can customize your character's appearance by choosing skin color, hairstyle, eyebrows, glasses, and facial hair — to make it look more like you or anyone you want.

Can I customize my wardrobe?

Absolutely. You can tailor your wardrobe with a wide range of clothing categories like Tops, Bottoms, Outerwear, Accessories, and Footwear. Within each category, you can select specific styles and colors. You can also toggle off categories you don't wear — for example, if you never wear scarves or skirts, just turn them off and they’ll never show up in recommendations.

Does Weather Fit have Home or Lock Screen widgets?

Yes! Weather Fit includes a range of widgets for both the Home and Lock Screens. Some widgets show the forecast in a compact form, while others feature the character dressed for the current. Note that most widgets require a Premium subscription — but there is one free widget available to get you started.

Does it support Apple Watch?

Yes. Weather Fit includes a full Apple Watch app with complications that show outfit recommendations and weather info right on your watch face.
